A Certificate of Good Standing is an official document issued by a state government agency confirming that your business is legally registered, active, and in compliance with all state requirements including tax filings and annual reports.

Standard orders take 2–4 business days in most states. Expedited orders are processed same day or next day in most states. Certain states like Delaware and Massachusetts have longer processing times due to their specific requirements — these are clearly noted during the order process.

Your completed certificate is delivered via email as an official PDF document. This is the same document you would receive if you requested it directly from the state — just without the hassle.

After you submit your order, our team reviews it and sends you an invoice via email for the exact total. Processing begins once your invoice is paid. You are not charged at the time of submission.

We try our best to check that your business is in good standing and current with the state before processing. If we can see immediately that your business is not in good standing, we will not bill you. As a courtesy, we will provide you with all the information you need to become current so that we can proceed with your application.

Unfortunately, some states do not make that information publicly available, so we are not always able to verify standing before submitting. If the state declines to issue the certificate for compliance reasons outside of our control, our service fee is not refundable as the request will have already been submitted on your behalf. State fees are never refundable.

If you need to reprocess your order after becoming compliant with the state, as a courtesy we will only charge the state fee and waive our service fee entirely.
